Who are we?
Europeans from all backgrounds and generations convinced of the vital importance of European democracy.
In a connected yet divided world, developed but fragile, undergoing transformation, electoral cycles can no longer meet the real needs of citizens. Representativeness is eroding everywhere, even more so where it has always struggled to emerge.
A true democratic gap is widening within a European Union that, more than ever, must unite and act if it wants to exist.
A CITIZEN UNION
In this unbalanced world, we are convinced that the survival of the European project depends on the ability of its citizens to reclaim it, to understand it, and to participate in it.
This conviction gives rise to the commitment of CIVICO Europa: to develop tools for reflection and direct civic participation in the future of Europe.
CIVICO wants
to make Europe the laboratory of democratic reinvention through citizen participation

#WeEuropeans
CIVICO Europa, in collaboration with Make.org, conducted the first (very) large-scale European public consultation. It engaged millions of Europeans in formulating concrete citizen proposals, which were then submitted to political decision-makers and candidates for the 2019 EU elections.
